Diferencia entre anticongelante y refrigerante
Hoy en día es muy común escuchar que un auto necesita anticongelante o refrigerante para mantener la temperatura adecuada del motor, ya que algunas partes alcanzan temperaturas mayores a 1,000°C, por lo que se hace necesario disipar el calor mediante el aceite, el aire que entra cuando el auto está en movimiento y principalmente mediante el sistema de enfriamiento.
El sistema de enfriamiento tiene como objetivo mantener la temperatura dentro de los rangos seguros de operación para los diferentes componentes del motor, tanto externos como internos y disminuir el desgaste de las partes.
Actualmente mucha gente emplea agua para el sistema de enfriamiento, sin embargo, al utilizar únicamente agua tendremos acumulación de sales, teniendo problemas como acumulación de sarro en la bomba de agua, el termostato se queda pegado por la acumulación de sales y finalmente el radiador se puede tapar.
- Refrigerante:
Un refrigerante es un anticongelante previamente mezclado con agua desmineralizada, lo que asegura un excelente desempeño del sistema de enfriamiento y larga vida útil del mismo, así como también la del refrigerante en operación.
La relación de mezcla puede variar, dependiendo de la aplicación deseada. Podremos encontrar refrigerantes que estén al 50 % (Refrigerante Coolant), o al 33 % (Refrigerante Climatizado).
- Anticongelante:
Un anticongelante es un producto elaborado básicamente a partir de monoetilenglicol y aditivos anticorrosivos que aseguran el buen funcionamiento del sistema de enfriamiento. Se recomienda mezclarse al 50 % con agua para que en conjunto realicen las funciones descritas anteriormente.
Los anticongelantes y refrigerantes Roshfrans presentan una excelente compatibilidad con las mangueras, sellos y otros componentes del sistema de enfriamiento. Protegen al motor y al sistema de enfriamiento contra la herrumbre, corrosión y reducen la formación de depósitos.
Lubrican la bomba del refrigerante (bomba del agua) prolongando su vida útil.
- Funciones básicas del refrigerante:
- Mantener la temperatura de operación adecuada en el motor, asegurando que el agua no se evapore ni se congele fácilmente.
- Evitar el ataque corrosivo en los principales componentes del sistema de enfriamiento (bomba del agua, termostato, radiador, mangueras, etc.).
- Lubricar la bomba del refrigerante (“bomba del agua”).
Recomendaciones:
Revisar periódicamente el nivel del depósito de reserva, si está bajo, rellene preferentemente con Anticongelante Concentrado para revitalizar las propiedades del fluido.
Recuerda que el relleno del depósito es una medida temporal, mientras se realiza el servicio completo. Nunca rellenes con agua, ya que diluye la mezcla y reduce las propiedades protectoras del fluido.
Cambia completamente el refrigerante al menos 1 vez al año y sigue las recomendaciones del fabricante de tu auto.
